A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

L.A.’s Insineratehymn kicks off their second album with an acoustic intro, some whispers, desperate cries and an eerie atmosphere. When the first real track “Visceral Ignominy” sets in I’m like, ok… sounds damn good. Some well written and excellent played Old School Death Metal.

When “Corporeal Inception” explodes though, Insineratehymn throws all cards to the table with a lethal dose of unhealthy aggression and an indecent set of technical skills. These lads keep the quality of the following tracks tight and hard, like my daily morning wood.  “Immolated Ascension” goes ranting with a rowdy d-beat that passes off smoothly into raging blasts. “Cerebral Malevolence” ends in howling melodic leads supported by thundering double bass drum rolls. Even Entombed’s “Bitter Loss” gets pushed through mercilessly.

Insineratehymn rips through all spectrums of Old School Death Metal in a skillful and thoughtful way, delivering a superb second album. (Franki_boj)
