A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Úlfarr from the UK  are a lot like many of the Black Metal bands that I have been reviewing as of late. For they are a one man band, which the genre is full of, that finds their main inspiration from the good ol’ Second Wave Of Black Metal. But unlike many bands in general, in any genre, their discography is obscure A bunch of demos, a split, then two live albums, a comp, another split and another EP before this newest EP, the extremely well titled ‘The Ruins Of Human Failure’.

And what does this EP have to offer. Well, there is no time spent inventing or reinventing anything new or downright surprising. There is really nothing on here that you have not heard before. Yet, the quality is most definitely here, and the songwriting chops are apparent and present. So really in the end, if you want more, high quality, Second Wave Of Black Metal inspired Black Metal, that calls itself Cumbrian Black Metal, then this release is for you.
