A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Quite an international ensemble of ghoulish Old School Death Metal War Veterans, if you have Anders Biazzi (Blood Mortized, ex-Amon Amarth), Rogga Johansson (Really? Well, let’s name a few; Ribspreader, Demiurg, Paganizer, The Grotesquery and so many more), Mr. Hitchcock (Zombiefication), Ralf Hauber (Revel in Flesh) and Rick Rozz (Massacre, ex-Death/Mantas), among others, on the payroll. As we all know, lots of established individuals doesn’t mean quality. But Just Before Dawn delivers the goods, if your hopes aren’t sky high which are common with big collaborations. “Precis innan gryningen” is a solid Bolt Thrower / Hail of Bullets warlike album with decent riffs, all with a Swedish Death Metal sauce. “Groove” is the main key on this album, and the use of different vocalists is a nice touch. This is no supersonic Military airplane, but a sluggish, deadly and heavily built tank to wipe out the enemy with excessive fire power. Sure, there are more sophisticated techniques to conquer, but why change if it is sufficient? (Ricardo)
