What fucking year is it?! This two track EP sounds straight out of the early mid 90s (it does of course sound much better tonally because it is not the mid 90s) and boy howdy does it burn.
One half Black Metal mastery, one half experimental soundscapes, “Cloven Fires” feels like you happened upon a ritual in process. The title track is a pretty straight forward piece of Black art where track two “Ambrosia” reminded me of the scene from “Hellraiser Bloodlines” where Duc de L’Isle summons the cenobites. I had these two songs playing on repeat for about an hour…it’s just that good. (TravisN)
