A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Black Metal from an unknown soul or maybe souls. Musicwise it is nothing you haven’t heard before.

It’s  atmospheric and wintery with tracks that have a long duration while the vocals are buried in the mix and the sound is sharp. This might sound familiar, and you’d be right. But familiarity, or maybe lack of originality, doesn’t matter if you don’t feel the urge to skip a song or get bored.

Because that’s the thing with ‘White Tomb Pilgrimage’: it sounds familiar, and the front cover evokes the Black Metal of Winterburial, but it’s executed the way it should be and results in a more than OK album.

If you enjoy the Black Metal part of bands like Bekëth Nexëhmü, you can give it a try.
