“They shared the fascination with death and annihilation turned their eyes to the mythologies, tales and deities of the apocalypse”. Well, if that isn’t a healthy foundation to start your Black/Death campaign! And this is not your ordinary Black/Death hybrid as they take bits and pieces from so many other subgenres and styles. They have taken the progressive side of Opeth and Enslaved, some middle-eastern passages, epic Black/Viking metal parts as well as an occasional Melodic Death Metal leads along with clean chants. Although I’m not always in the mood for this kind of music, I have to say it very well executed. If you are able to create a whole of so many different influences, and keeping it interesting then you certainly deserve the credits for it. (Ricardo)
