Out of the hot continent South-America, more precisely Chili, a new band has crawled outside the womb…and got the birth name Hellish. When growing up they drank blackened thrash from the bottle and for their fifth anniversary they’ve released EP ‘Theurgist’s Spell’. What can you expect? Well, think of a young version of Sodom, add some Sepultura riffs to it and cover it up with some blackened vibe and you get a picture of what to hear when listening to this band. Four songs our delivered on this EP and the tempo is blistering from beginning till end. The vocals are filthy but sometimes also not accurate, but it’s forgiven hehe. The only thought that goes through my mind…will a full length album survive the lack of variation??…well, that’s something to find out very soon I suppose. Worth checking out if you’re a fan of bands like Inculter and Nekromantheon!
