A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Bestial Death/Thrash takes the command on the debut EP from these Italian combatants. This release offers four tracks of skull-pounding mayhem, that gallops in like some prehistoric wild beast, ripping everything to shreds. The production is far from polished, but comprehensible enough for all the instruments to be heard. The vocalist emits a furious belch that is accompanied by some evil-sounding lower growls from time to time. The riffs are tremelo picked, and exceptionally well-executed. The drums and bass are equally crushing in the bloody wall of noise, especially the latter which can be prominently heard during the more throbbing parts.

There’s enough darkness to satisfy the death ghouls, and enough thrashing to satisfy those who worship at the altar of bands like Sodom and Necrodeath. Also, if you’re a fan of bands like Bestial Warlust and Blasphemophagher, then this is without a doubt a band you’d approve of. Check them out and keep your eyes and ears peeled for a full-length.
