Fiat Nox hails from Germany, though unfortunately they are currently inactive. They started their journey in 2016, releasing a demo, one full-length album, and 3 EPs along the way. In 2021, they dropped the EP ‘In Contemptuous Defiance’, clocking in at almost 25 minutes across 4 tracks.
Expect fast-paced Black Metal with a killer tone on the guitars and a razor-sharp mix across all instruments, leaving you feeling like you just woke up in the depths of hell. It is a solid release available on CD through Personal Records, and on cassette for the old-school diehards via Sign of Evil Productions.
Overall, ‘In Contemptuous Defiance’ is a straightforward, brutal punch to the face.
