A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Paganizer is a veteran death metal band from Sweden. In existence since 1998, they reached the “legend” status on their own right and have a large number of releases available, including numerous full length albums, singles and EPs. So, they are not strange to any death metal fan and, due to their large experience and longevity, their musicianship is over the top. However, being excellent musicians doesn’t necessarily mean they can create amazing and extraordinary music all the time. Their latest EP, “On the Outskirts of Hades”, proves just that. Without ever being boring, the songs are very generic and there’s really nothing very innovative and original going on. Don’t get me wrong, though! This small collection of four songs (with a total duration of a little over than 13 minutes) is high quality and extremely well executed death metal. However, this is not a “Port Wine” kind of band, i.e., it doesn’t get better as they age. It doesn’t get worse either, so it will definitely please anyone who is a die-hard Paganizer fan. (Antonio)
