A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Australia’s Vahrzaw are back, well in this case in the year 2021, with their fourth full-length album in ‘The Trembling Voices Of Conquered Men’ here. And what we get here is some more unpredictable, changing, shifting and morphing Black/Death Metal in the way that Vahrzaw always do.

Never ones to rest on their laurels or be beholden to a precise ethos of sound, Vahrzaw have continued to progress and grow with each and every release. On their fourth full-length here they have continued that trend and added more touches and nuances to their already stellar sound along the way.

And that sound is somewhat like what would happen if Immolation and Morbid Angel had a four-way love child with Morbus Chron and Belphegor. Yet, not really, for Vahrzaw are truly their own beast.

I myself am already a fan and have liked this band for a bit already and on ‘The Trembling Voices Of Conquered Men’ they have truly stepped their game up. This is a fantastic work of art meant to be experienced as a whole. So go, experience it.
