One of the reasons I started a fanzine again, was to support the unknown quality acts. Of better yet, acts of which I thought they didn’t get enough attention and recognition they deserve. The few ones who are following VM-Underground from the very beginning (yeah…you!) probably remember the name Necrot. The band featured with an interview in our first issue and both demos received a positive review in that same particular issue. Personally it is fun to hear and read many Old School Death Metal maniacs are enjoying this debut album. When you review and interview as a hobby, just trying to give some underground acts exposure, it is really fuckin’ nice to know others are hearing the same potential you hear. These are the small pleasures for a prick like me. Necrot unleashed a great debut album which will any adept of Old School Midtempo Death Metal will enjoy at its fullest. Sure, when it comes to riffs, Autopsy, Master and Bolt Thrower pops into your head, but let’s be honest…is that a bad thing? The drums, the riffs and a slight reverb on the vocals…it is pounding and pummeling the whole album long. This is one fine piece of Old School Death Metal! (Ricardo)
