A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Incantation 4th full length album is crawling out of my boxes. Again a band who doesn’t really change their style, they “only” perfectionate it. They still play their typical slow Doom mixed with many fast Death Metal parts, making sure that enough variation has been included to make you listen to this album again and again.

I must say, they have become tighter than before, not in the least because of session drummer Dave Culross (Malevolent Creation, ex-Suffocation). Again the line-up has changed, with band leader John McEntee remaining as the only original member.

On this record you’ll find 8 brutal tracks which last for 40 minutes of great Death Metal, the Incantation style. Some of my favourite tracks are “Extinguishing salvation”, “Lustful demise” and “Heaven departed”.

The fans of this band won’t be disappointed and others might notice this great consistent band!
