This is already the second CD by Dawn, but only my first introduction to the band. I was already familiar with the vocalist, Henke Forss, because he sang on the ‘Subterranean’ EP by In Flames.
People call this band the successor to Dissection, so I was very curious about what Dawn could do. And I am very impressed by what they deliver here. They have placed six long tracks and a short instrumental on this album, taking you to another world for an hour. The tracks are extremely long, but still manage to hold your attention. There is also plenty of variety, so they do not just blast through the songs non-stop.
Everyone who loves excellent Black/Death Metal simply must have this album, because Dawn are the new kings.
