Quite a mouthful of a title for when you are drunk; try saying it six times in a row. If someone simply handed you a blank tape with this music, your first thought could be, ‘Is this new Cradle of Filth material?’.
As it turns out, ex-members of Cradle of Filth are involved here as well, which is starting to look like they are popping out here and there. But, wow, what a fantastic album this is.
Every single track is a highlight if you ask me. Excellent instrumental parts, melodic riffs, killer screams…all the ingredients are present. It is truly the kind of album you keep on repeat, and I know I certainly did. For me, the absolute standouts are ‘The Spell of the Winter Forest’, ‘Aflame in the Halls of Blasphemy’, ‘Christfire’, and ‘The Danse Macabre’, and all the instrumental parts.
As for anyone who thinks this is just commercial mainstream garbage, well, I beg to differ.
