Brevity is the soul of wit. Apparently this was band´s maxim while creating their EP “Erzketzer”. After one demo, four albums , and one Split Arroganz from Germany opened the gates of hell again. There are no b-sides and no unnecessary fillers on this 20 minutes EP. The three songs are brand new ones and they give a good sample of the actual artistic work of Arroganz. The style of the band can be defined as an occult form of Death/Black Metal.
Arroganz exactly knows how to build an atmosphere. The trance-inducting sound with it´s dominating droning bass combined with the echo chamber screaming vocals create an very dark atmosphere which is filled with blind rage. When you listen to the EP with closed eyes you can see the Ertzketzer or Arch-Heretic tearing down the cosmos while spitting holy water in the face of God. (HaCeBo)
