F.D.A Records is beyond thrilled to announce that Discouraged have joined the label family to release their outstanding debut full-length album through us.
Formed in 2024 in Münster, Germany, by members of Crypts, The Infernal Deceit and Goodbye, Old Me, Discouraged set out to create their own distinctive take on Death/Doom Metal.
The result is a deeply atmospheric blend of crushing heaviness, melancholy and memorable melodies. Their songs seamlessly unite sorrow and introspection with groove, metallic weight and the raw power of Death Metal, resulting in a sound that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique.
Drawing inspiration from the early works of Anathema, Paradise Lost and Katatonia, while incorporating a touch of Black Sabbath and a healthy dose of Death Metal, Discouraged have crafted a debut that will resonate with fans of dark, emotional and uncompromisingly heavy music alike.
Their debut album, ‘A Farewell In Stages’, is scheduled for release in August/September via F.D.A Records.
