A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Sarcasm made an unexpected return in 2015 with the release of their debut album “Burial dimensions” which was recorded in 1994. Yes, you read it right. The Swedish Death Metal band Sarcasm was originally formed in 1987 and survived until today. They have stayed true to their style but the sound and the quality changed in a very good way.

“Esoteric tales of the Unserene” is their third record. Sarcasm are truly veterans who grew up with other acts like Dissection, At the Gates and Sacramentum. They have this unique style of combining Old-school with new Death Metal. It‘s an absolute pleasure to listen to this very clear instrumentation. Nothing is drowning anything else out. The heavy bass and the booming and blasting drums carry you through this very dynamic record. The guitars are clear as ice and the voice present the lyrics with a great viciousness.

Get yourself a copy of “Esoteric tales of the Unserene” and celebrate good old, new classic Swedish Death Metal. (HaCeBo)
