Reincarnated, a five piece Death/Doom Metal band from Thailand have officially, well as of 2022 that is, claimed their place within the lexicon of this subgenre’s sect. Thanks in part to Inhuman Assault Productions we have gotten Reincarnated’s debut full-length album with ‘Of Boötes Void Death Spell’, which we are covering here.
And when I say that they are Death/Doom Metal the instant comparison that comes to mind is almost always the mighty Incantation. Which, yes, is pretty much true in this case but it just so happens to be much more simplified, refined and very much Doom laden. Where the more simplistic, repetitive riffing puts you in a kind of trance so the Death and Doom can wash over you in waves of devestation. All the while you just smile.
It is a pretty good, solid debut, sure it may not anything surprising or great but they are on the right path. And honestly, do we need everything to be exceptional? Can’t an album just be pretty good and surprisingly satisfying? Well, yes, yes it can. And with ‘Of Boötes Void Death Spell’ it is. So hit play, sit back in that trance and just enjoy it.
