A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

With the 2nd full-length “Summoning the Putrid”, Iron Flesh from France continues their Doom laden Old School Death Metal where they left off with their debut album; “Forged Faith Bleeding”.

Although I have used the “doom” terminology to emphasize the dark and slow part of Iron Flesh, just take a listen to “Demonic Enn” or “Cursed Beyond Death”, they easily shift into a more Edge of Sanity melodic form like they do on “”Purify Through Blasphemy”. So if you enjoy a more nowadays Asphyx and Paradise Lost, or early UK Doom/Death in general, approach combined with the buzzsaw sound, but you like the variation of the Edge of Sanity melody as well, this could be interesting for you.

At first this album was released as CD by Great Dane Records but War Anthem Records gave it a vinyl treatment as well, and if the musical description fits, you have a fine album in your hands. (Ricardo)
