A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Balmog have returned this year, 2023 for y’all in the future, with yet another epic, exquisite single track, EP titled ‘Covenants Of Salt’. Which is quite honestly and simply the very similar, but not quite outright twin, sibling of the fantastic 2020 EP ‘Pillars Of Salt’.

I mean, honestly, it is kind of like the ‘Reload’ to Metallica’s ‘Load’. Yeah, I know, we won’t touch on anything about those albums besides the comparison. But it’s honestly kind of the same thing. Where this EP follows closely along the same path as the aforementioned earlier work. Creating a singular piece of art that is even more high quality modern Black Metal that touches on many of the genres sub sects.

Again, much like it’s sibling, ‘Covenants Of Salt’ is “one fantastic journey through all the peaks and valleys that you can encounter within the modern Black Metal scene. It quenches my thirst and simultaneously leaves me thirsty for more.” Again. I’m starting to get major cotton mouth.
