If you’re a disciple of the underground realm, and especially the Death Metal one, you probably heard or read the name “Father Befouled” more than once. Like many others, Father Befouled took Incantation’s “Onward to Golgotha” as main influence and made it their own. In many mags or webzines this would be a huge negative remark as they wouldn’t like to hear something they already have heard before. Well, glad I’m having myself a fanzine, so I can say without any shame that this is more than a simple worship or copycat, even it isn’t original from the very first tune. Ghoat’s vokills are from the seventh lair of hell and the guitars are utter downtuned. Oppressive, dark and heavy doomed and blasphemed Death Metal. As you can expect from a band in the vein of Incantation, Dead Congregation, Ignivomous or Encoffination. Worth your attention if you have an album or two of the aforementioned bands.
