A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Through all of the safety trainings I have been through in the various jobs I have had throughout my lifetime, the word caustic was always something we were told to watch out for. And trust me, there were and are plenty of chemicals I work with that are caustic.

So the idea of putting something caustic on to listen to seems like a rather risky proposition. Then you add in the element that it is vomit that is caustic. Sounds catastrophic. But is it?

I mean, I have never personally seen a safety data sheet on vomit, in general, and I’ve seen a lot. But seeing as it is made up of stomach acid then that has just got to be caustic. This extremely dangerous Doom/Death Metal demo is comprised of four incendiary tracks. An Intro, two originals and a cover of a song from Funeral Doom/Death Metal legends Thergothon. And honestly, the title of this thing, ‘Eloquent Requiems Of Necrotic Decadence’, describes their sound perfectly.

Yeah, you will have to go and listen to this demo yourself to see just exactly what I mean. Good thing it is available on Bandcamp just a few clicks away. But be careful. For Caustic Vomit’s ‘Eloquent Requiems Of Necrotic Decadence’ is quite possibly one of the best chemical burns I have ever put my ears through.
