Drums of War! Wolves Den tries to capture the attention of the listener with marching drums instead of a maelstrom of riffs, but after a minute the Blackened Death Metal of Wolves Den kicks in.
The second album “Misere” is a combination of Behemoth, late Naglfar, late Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon’s “Now, Diabolical”, and probably fans of late Rotting Christ can have their way with “Misere” as well.
The use of melancholic keys throughout the album and a stellar production wraps it all up and results in an album that is far from bad or mediocre, with a honourable mention for the closing track “Nameless Grave” but for me it doesn’t attract the attention throughout the whole album. (Ricardo)
