A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Sometimes a band goes a bit under ones radar, pops up and first thing you think is “Damn, their 8th album already?”. This is my case with Obscurity as I’m known of their existence and I’m pretty sure I have a promo or 2 of their old releases, but was quite surprised when I received their 8th full-length. Although being mentioned as a Pagan/Viking Metal bands by some, I would rather classify them as Melodic Death Metal. Sure, with a Viking theme…and it is almost unavoidable not to mention Amon Amarth. Obscurity is doing what Obscurity is doing for many years now. Writing riff driven Melodic Death Metal that will appeal fans of Amon Amarth and although it isn’t bad at all, don’t expect something that will rise above average either. (Ricardo)
