A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Oh yeah, this is what I’m talking about! The comeback of the mid-90s melodic and symphonic Black Metal, so atmospheric without the theatrical bombastic addition that became popular around 2000, is something I can only approve and applaud. For me it was a period of time in which good song writing in combination with atmosphere by the keys was more important than overwhelming the audience with every button that is available on the keyboard.

Vaeok from the USA, with duo VJS (Demoncy, Nightbringer and Sargeist among others) and MS (Kult of Azazel) behind the wheel, manage to capture the same sprit the acts of yore had. Think of  Limbonic Art, Diabolical Masquerade, Covenant, Emperor, old Dimmu Borgir, old Arcturus and Obtained Enslavement…you will hear it all on this cosmic and majestic EP. I’m just impressed from the very first ‘till the very last second, a must have EP. (Ricardo)
