A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Allthough the cover looks pretty nice the music is hard to describe, and it is even harder to come up with a decent review and some positive remarks as well. This Australian low-fi black metal band is really one of the most dull-sounding black metal acts I ever heard. But this act still has a cultish status amongst the elitist black metallers around the world. Sometimes it is just beyond belief…

Sin Nanna, as the sinister individual behind Striborg likes to call himself, and Displeased Records like to promote Striborg with stuff like “No contact, no interviews” and selling points like “new masterpiece of hate and misanthropy”. Well, getting depressed is something that comes like a common thing to me while listening to this piece of shit. I am really wondering why anyone would put any effort in recording, releasing and buying this “musical” waste. The one point that prevents it from not getting a 1/6 are the ambient parts in between tracks that are not too bad. But these “bonustracks” are really sad. What were Sin Nanna and Displeased thinking? This isn’t even funny anymore. The vocals are so fucked up that they keep on echoing like these cheap fat-asses on fairs and toystores. The only thing that is good enough for this crap CD is to throw it away. One of the worst things I ever heard in my entire life!! The info sheet says: “For fans of Xasthur and Mütiilation”. To hell with that! That is as rude as an insult can be for those two bands, for me as a reviewer and also for you, the metal audience – it displays a total lack of respect towards metal in general. Urgh…
