‘Organasm’ is Alchemist’s 4th album, not including their mini-album on which they covered Jeff Wayne’s ‘Eve of the war’, great idea by the way, and their first three are very hard to find. I hope Displeased will re-release them in the near future.
Well, what are Alchemist all about? They play a very original mix of Death Metal and Pink Floyd. Impossible? Then take a listen for yourself. They write great songs with some killer riffs, I tell ya! To name a few examples: ‘Austral spectrum’, ‘Rampant macro life’, ‘Surreality’, ‘Tide in, mind out’ and ‘Escape from the black hole’ (the chorus really sounds like Fear Factory, only better). Their singer Adam Agius really uses his voice to the fullest, screaming, grunting, whispering, he does it all.
Ten killer songs in approx. 53 minutes, add to this all the well-done production, and you’ve got a record you can’t afford to miss!
