A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

It seems to be debatable at the moment, if Schrat from Germany is still active or not as the news was published that main man Gråin is both able and unable to continue his anti-human Black Metal as he is in prison. On the other hand Gråin also mentioned “rebirth”…time will tell.

Fast and aggressive Black Metal is the essence of Schrat, but that is something common when Folter Records is the label who has released it. As said, it is fast and aggressive, but it also has hints of obscure rawness and dark melodies in the vein of  Marduk and Urgehal.

At the end this will not be an album that will yell “surprise!” at you, but “Seelenfresser” is a pleasant listen nevertheless. (Ricardo)
