A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

“Stormkult”, the predecessor of “Het zwarte dictaat”, was and still is a fine piece of raw and dark Black magick. And I can already tell you…”Het zwarte dictaat” is a perfect follow up.

Not convinced yet? Well, this album has everything within the realm of raw Black Metal, minus a lo-fi production. You will hear haunting keys, pounding drums, roaring bass, diabolical raspy vocals, fast intense riffs, slow possessed passages and it all comes together on “Het zwarte dictaat”…and it fits like a glove. For those who are expecting a whirlwind of chaos, there is lot of variation on this album of which a track like “De Kabal” is a perfect example of it. It has all I mentioned above, with a repeating riff accompanied by demoniac keys for almost 7 minutes, but it is necromantic for every second.

But you don’t have to take my word for it, feel free to check it out yourself, but at the end you will agree with me this is some great relentless Black Metal! No compromise! (Ricardo)
