Rex Defunctis rely on a more cinematic approach to their compositions, allowing themselves to have different sections and tempo changes into each tune, nodding us back to bands like Cradle of Filth, who raise the intensity of the music in accordance to the intensity of what is being expressed with words.

Style-wise, they hold the sorrowful side of the spectrum too, usting palm muted sections that resemble old Rotting Christ or Varathron. An excellent debut EP boasted by a crystal-like production, which makes it even more relatable. Passionate! (Diego E.)
