A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

If your taste in Black Metal leans more towards the first wave than the second, or indeed the third, then Horns & Hooves might just have something for you with their debut album ‘I Am the Skel Messiah’.

Where musical primitiveness is celebrated through the inspiration of Venom, Bathory and Sodom, the lyrics are brimming with blasphemy, drugs, sodomy, and all sorts of sexual acts that hopefully didn’t feature during your loss of virginity…one would hope…Aficionados of punkish, sleazy, rockin’ first-wave Black Metal will no doubt voice their appreciation during the masses.

There are moments where faesces, semen, tears of sorrow, and the glorification of Satan converge; I present to thee ‘I am the Skel Messiah’.
