Great… a tape that only says “Gurkkhas” on one side, a short bio and that’s just about all the info I’ve got. So actually, I have no idea which releases are on this tape. So I’ll just review the music.
Gurkkhas rose from the ashes of DAB, and plays pretty cool Death Metal. On side A, the Death Metal is mixed with Thrash. It sounds like a mixture of the likes of Death, Kreator and Possessed. Good to hear, the musical presentation is definitely better than average.
Now, for side B… I’m not even sure it’s Gurkkhas on that side, since the music is pretty different. I’ll just assume it is. More melancholic parts, keyboards and atmosphere. The productions is better, and the music is good again.
