Katharsis, 1349, Ash Borer and Antaeus fans listen up! Black Fucking Cancer and Gloam teamed up for a victorious coalition of pitch black relentless and atmospheric metal. This split features only 1 album-titled track each, but concludes in 40 minutes of total madness and hysteric unconventional Black Metal so dark and cold that winter already seems to be present.

Knowing Black Fucking Cancer since their crushing debut, I was eagerly waiting for something new and they delivered an ugly, mostly fast and aggressive song which varies here and there to be kept interesting. Gloam on the other hand work with less speed compared to Black Fucking Cancer and induce a more melodic and atmospheric approach, sometimes reminding me of Ancient. Both tracks have a killer production and show once again that it is possible to write long tracks without getting bored.

Along with the Devathorn/Inferno split, this is another crusher and highlights another fantastic Black Metal year that still isn`t over at all. Horns up.
