“Too Fast for the Flames” is the first single from “Under the Witching Cross”, the upcoming second album by Satanic Speed Metal merchants Bewitcher. This is a catchy tune with some speedy riffs and melodic hooks. Parts of the song have a bit more bluesy rock feel to then somewhere between Motorhead and Thin Lizzy, which could be a sign of a different direction for the trio compared to their debut album.
The B-side of the album has a solid cover of “Show No Mercy” by W.A.S.P. which slightly out shines the actual single but its fuckin’ W.A.S.P. so what can you do? I’m excited to hear “Under the Witching Cross” and see how the other songs compare to the single. (Ted Gloom)
