I can honestly say I know Archgoat since they reformed the band and released the “Angelslaying Black Fucking Metal” EP back in 2005, only then I started to look up the bands history, even though I knew about the split with Beherit, I never heard it before. This new release is, well almost exactly the same as any other previous materials, dark, aggressive like a rottweiler on steroids with the one and only goal, to destroy Christianity. I don’t want to sound like an idiot but didn’t we hear these themes before? “Nuns cunts and Darkness” is sort of a “Rise of the Black Moon” with different lyrics, we can hear a nice Beherit “The Gate of Nanna” cover-like song and over and over again the good old moments somehow dressed up differently. It has good moments and few good songs but still I find it average. If you don’t expect anything new from a band, this album might be OK but if you do, you will agree with me that this release is just an echo rather than a real voice. (Frank)
