Death Metal created by 2 Germans who knew each other from the days of Diabolical Imperium, a Death/Thrash Metal band that have released 2 full-lengths and 1 EP.
With Rexul Simone and Benny took the American styled Death Metal as blueprint for their own creation, and with American we can pinpoint it to Florida in the 90s. Riffs, leads and certain melodies are the stars on this parade, as it is a good mix of what Deicide, Morbid Angel and Brutality did in the 1990s. For the fans of those bands it is easy to hear the influences within the songs; “This is definitely Deicide”, “This is 100% Brutality” and so on when you hear a particular lead, riff or part of a song. Rexul just put it all in a pot and made stew out of it. A tasty one, I may add.
Though it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, Rexul’s album is a satisfying listen with potential for a future release.
