I may have mentioned before that I am a sucker for good cover art. Something that will make me buy it (most of the time) regardless of what the band sounds like. Now I say this because I primarily work has an artist so I can use that as an excuse plus I am a tried and true metalhead and most of the time, I can find something musically interesting about that band that I can grab onto. Even if sound-wise they are not all there for me. So when a band has that kick-ass cover art (from Nestor Avalos Zarate) AND they have the music that backs it up, well call me a happy camper.
The band is just intense from track one to track 10. Yeah, it can be a bit long at 50 mins and some may be hammered to oblivion with this release, but I was pleased with it all. Having said that tho, trimming a song or two would not have hurt either. If anything it would have made it that more intense in its presentation. So what we have here musically is a Blackened Death Metal group that comes across like Whore Of Bethlehem and Chaos Inception with elements of Origin and even Cradle Of Filth. You will shake your head in agreement with my comparisons while you air guitar to the riffing and the drumming, trust me, Ian Lemberg is off the map in his drum presence on this album.
The band began in 2018 and this is their first full-length (plus an earlier EP) so I can only hope they continue this path that they are on. I am not saying they are truly unique but between their obvious songwriting skills and overall intensity coupled with their presentation, they can go far. Give them a go if you are interested in some of the aforementioned bands.
