Rancid Cadaver – Mortality Denied

rancid cadaver – mortality denied

Info

‘No one is safe…No one can survive…..The Cadaver Cometh…’

The debut full-length from my favourite cadavers hailing from Scotland commences with a putrid pledge, leaving one intrigued as to whether they can indeed live up to it.

The initial observation, when contrasted with the preceding EP, is that vocalist/bassist Ross Dunn has shifted more in the direction of the Cannibal Corpse style with his vocals. For the remainder, Rancid Cadaver persists with the direction set by their previous EP: a confluence of Undergang, Incantation, and Autopsy, now infused with Cannibal Corpse-esque vocals.

Alongside with the horror/eerie synth samples and the gradual musical evolution over the few years of Rancid Cadaver’s existence, my conclusion is that ‘Mortality Denied’ has materialised into a commendable Death Metal debut.
