A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

A gruesome UK act and a blood drenched USA one man show teamed up and provided 5 tracks each for this split. Horror themed, bot lyric and atmosphere wise, with samples and the whole razzmatazz…it is like the 90s again.

Blood Rage are more Old School Death Metal like compared with Mortuary Ghoul. Chugging mid-tempo riffs and up-tempo passages accompanied by a flying solo. With the Obituary cover ‘By The Light’ Blood Rage completes their gore-soaked Death Metal part of this split.

Mortuary Ghoul is simple to describe, without giving “simple” a negative value here. If you like Mortician, you will enjoy Mortuary Ghoul. The same low growl, drum sound…everything. As mentioned in a previous review, it is Mortican worship.

A nice Horror themed split which results in a couple of pleasant spins.
