A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

I stole their demo from De Boerderij, venue in The Netherlands, where I was a volunteer at that time. I liked it quite a lot. All the songs on that demo (‘Free strokes’, ‘Slavemind’ and ‘Created again’) are also on their debut album. Pandemia play Death Metal with some influences of Krabathor which isn’t a surprise as they’re from the same country.

They’ve released a very decent debut album, with some good songs and a good production. However, for an album, the expectancies and demands are a bit higher than for a demo. What I’m trying to say is that Pandemia might make a better impression with their 2nd album. Now they’re “just” one of the bands who released a good debut album but which didn’t make impression to really make a jump from the “pack”.

Anyway, if you like your Death Metal with no bullshit, you really could check Pandemia out for yourself, as they’re still a lot better than lots of other bands.
