A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

After two demo’s, an EP and some line up changes Burial have released their debut album on Lost Disciple Records.

Brutal Death Metal from America is what Burial play. Fast, aggressive riffing, gurgling vocalist, pounding slower parts, you can all dream what I’m talking about and I believe certain American bands had a sort of ‘role-model’-function here and there.

Again, this is a good release, and musically it all falls into place, but it’s just not convincing enough. This form of Death Metal is still good and not boring to listen to, but it doesn’t add anything new or fresh the scene. Of course there are some nice memorable parts, but unfortunately not enough, but for a debut this is a worthy release I guess. The last song, ‘Skullfucked’ has got a great title though!
