With an EP and a debut full-length under the belt, Korpsesoturi from Finland signed with Xtreem Music to release their 2nd album called “Korpskrist”. To be subtle isn’t one of the main goals Korpsesoturi has while writing their music as the Death Metal presented by Ilmari, Juha and Jani, is relentless bludgeoning.
Some old school brutality from the 90s, especially the US kind…you know, Rottrevore and the likes. Thanks to the low growl along with some doomy passages the massiveness of “Koprskrist” is enhanced which gives it a bit of an Incantation / Immolation twist.
Due the many releases “Korpskrist” probably didn’t receive the attention it deserves, I know for sure it is the case at my end and if it is yours too…it is not too late to give this one a chance. (Ricardo)
