There are not many bands out there with this kind of unusual formation like Hinterkaifeck — a raw Black Metal Band from Australia, formed 2019 by “E“, shredding the drums AND performing the vocals, and “O“ on the guitar.
The demo “Kak“, released with a limitation of 50 tapes by Nihilistic Noise Propaganda in May 2020, takes you to a journey of dark rituals and psychotic visions. “Incorrigible“ starts slow, but fasten the tempo very early. At that moment, when the vocals hit for the first time, you know what you get: Raw brutality.
Track 2 (“Revenge of Oedipus”) is linking perfectly to the previous track and is comprehensible. Morbid Riffs and screams, a lot of tempo changing and are matching very well.
The climax of aggression is the Song “Subterrane”: hard blast-beats are punching the listener directly in his face and are persisting it until there is an unexpected switch towards a melodic bridge and slower beats which also increases very fast and transits again into pure hate an aggression. In my opinion, the most intense and powerful song on this demo!
Last track “Kak”, the more atmospheric one, comes with long sustained riffs and brings a depressing ambience. All tracks have a recognizable character, the order is fitting together and the artist catch the listener with a mesmerizing scenery of anger and hate.
This brutal piece of hatred is in total worth trying and for me personally, I’m looking forward to new stuff. (Dave)
