A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

As a Paradise Lost fan myself, although I can’t say the albums between 1997-2005 are albums I pick to give it a spin…you know, “Host” and “Believe in Nothing” and such, I have to say both Grim Fate and Entrapment are good performers for the songs and therefore albums they have chosen to cover.

Grim Fate took “Rotting Misery” of the infamous “Lost Paradise” album out of the line-up and the dark doomy Death Metal fits like a glove. Same goes for the now defunct Entrapment, who have chosen “Rapture” of their “Gothic” album. Not strange to give something from “Gothic” a try, as on their own “Lamentations of the Flesh” album there were those typical Paradise Lost harmonies present.

The difference between those albums are also the difference between Grim Fate and Entrapment themselves and both recorded a worthy tribute. (Ricardo)
