The alliance between Dawnbreed Records and King of the Monsters Records results in a nice 7” EP of Wærloga, the debut recording of an act with a unknown individual or individuals from the US which has risen from the surface back in 2016.
The two tracks, “Liar” and “Enemy” are fine examples of 90s Symphonic Black Metal with authentic melodies in the Scandinavian style. The subtle use of the organ synths are spot on, the heavily reverb-ed vocals are fitting to the sound and the riffs are making it complete.
An absolute pleasant listen and do I hope the next release of Wærloga will be in the same nostalgic vein, cause it is done the right way. (Ricardo)
