A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

By all gods what dark underworld has this album slipped out of? After an approximately one minute intro of an uncomfortable sound wall this noisy, chaotic mess of blackening Death Metal begins. This is the first LP from Embra from the US.

This album is an impressive and tasty slice of atmospheric Black Metal injected with very dark, harsh and unforgiving Death Metal. The music is raw and abrasive, but still manages to foster atmosphere through terrifying dynamics and harrowing mood. It is as otherworldly and deadly as the strange environment depicted on their album cover. The vocal assault consists of absolutely inhuman growls. These are pitch black, insanely deep, and utterly daemonic in every way.

“Abjection” is an absolutely brutal beauty. (HaCeBo)
