Deranged’s third album which is named quite simply and effectively ‘III’. It’s my first acquaintance with this brutal and fast Death Metal band and it’s an extremely pleasantly painful one! Great Death Metal played by very skilled musicians who write good songs with enough variation, and the fantastic production gives the final touch.
My favourite track is ‘Consume, excrete, dwell’ as it has an extremely cool mid-paced part, great riff! But the other tracks also rule, just take a listen to ‘Ripped, raped, randomized’, ‘Festering’, ‘I thrive on suffering’ or ‘Death tripping’. The only thing I don’t like about this release is the title track ‘III’ which is an industrial track. I wish they hadn’t put it on the album, fortunately you can skip this song.
But all in all this album is a highly recommended release to all who like brutal Death Metal, the way it should be!
