This Deranged album is out for a while, but since all the trouble we had with our server this one slipped through the cracks. Since Deranged is already working on their new album ‘The Red Light Murder Case’, I will keep this review short and to the point.
Compared with ‘Plainfield Cemetery’ this album is easier going, instead of fast brutality, as if one can speak of ‘easy going’ with Deranged. The album again contains nine sharp and catchy guitar-oriented tracks that are all of an outstanding filthiness of pure Swedish Brutal Death Metal. ‘Torture, Rape, Cum And Kill’ is one of the fastest tracks and is a real womaniser.
‘Alive Swarming With Flies’ begins with a great sounding bass and the intro is a more easy going track of this album, while ‘Dead In A Ditch’ is an unmitigated Deranged song like only Deranged can do. Well, all the tracks are of a high musical level, but just like their previous albums, you will like some songs better and other less, simply because it sometimes is too much.
I could keep on going for ages about this great, underestimated band but I think you have to figure it out yourself if you call yourself a Death Metal freak.
