Beastiality – Sacrificial Chants [EP]

beastiality – sacrificial chants [ep]

Info

A morbid blend of Black, Death & Thrash Metal hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, Beastiality have been flying under radio silence on the release front since 2017, so their brand new EP ‘Sacrificial Chants’ should act as an interesting peek into the bands collective head space, especially since almost the whole line up changed in 2018, leaving only guitarist Heinrich as an original member. Interestingly, underground label Invictus Productions have put this EP out on both CD and LP. The only thing to do now is to strap in and enjoy this fifteen minute hell ride…

And what a ride it is! Beastiality rather unsurprisingly sound ruthlessly feral, but this is no Bestial Metal knock off and the band put a great deal of time and thought into their song structures to keep them engaging whilst never loosening their iron grip of brutality. These Stockholm sewer dwellers revel at the altars of Blackened Thrash and they revel in their odious cavernous sound. A. Död behind the kit uses his ever so significant talents to create anthemic beats that flick between rampaging blood lust and rabble rousing bravado, whilst his vocal display when combined with that of bassist/vocalist Totalitarian Commander of Unearthly Perversions are both ravenous, serpentine incredibly cruel sounding.

Despite the short length of the EP I felt that each track still have enough space to breath, and as a result both the bands creative streak and their sheer savagery are showcased fully. Tracks like ‘Thy Kingdom Dead’ really bring out the true raging fury of the guitar leads as well as a the sheer demonic insanity of the vocals. In all, this Ep shows a truly bat shit crazy and perpetualy dark band who are at their strongest right now! (Marksson)
